Visit of the Minister of Cultural Heritage and Tourism of Oman to St. Petersburg
From September 9 to 13, 2025, a delegation from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism of Oman, led by His Excellency Salim bin Muhammad al-Mahruqi, visited St. Petersburg. During the visit, they held a working meeting with the Tourism Development Committee, where they discussed ways to develop bilateral tourism relations and expand cooperation between the tourism industry in Russia and the Sultanate of Oman. They also met with key players in the tourism market, including Yandex, Ostrovok, Planeta Travel, and the Russian Union of Travel Industry.
As a result of the visit, an agreement was signed to establish the Oman-Hermitage branch. The document was signed by the General Director of the Hermitage and the General Secretary of the National Museum of Oman. The new branch will serve as a platform for cultural and educational cooperation and exchange of experience between the two countries.
Webinar for Russian agencies at Resort Holiday
This month, a webinar was held at the Resort Holiday site in collaboration with the Jumeirah Muscat Bay hotel.
The webinar program included:
- a presentation of the destination and up-to-date information for the upcoming high season;
- personal experiences of Resort Holiday representatives on a trip to Oman and useful tips for sales agents;
- a presentation of the Jumeirah Muscat Bay hotel.
During the webinar, agents actively asked questions, shared their experiences, and expressed their gratitude for the useful information.
Additionally, the webinar recording was published on the Resort Holiday closed Telegram channel and their YouTube channel.
FAM trips to Oman for Russian tour operators
In September, the FAM-trip of the Mercury tour operator team successfully concluded, with the participants exploring the key locations of Oman, appreciating the service level of leading hotels, and enjoying a rich cultural and natural program.
This was followed by the tour for the PAX tour operator, where the group visited the main attractions, tasted the local cuisine, and praised the high level of organization, comfortable transfers, and professional Russian-speaking guides.
Additionally, the FAM-trip for the ICS Group tour operator began. The group members spent several days getting to know the best hotels in the region and the infrastructure. We studied the key tourist routes, received information about the sights and features of the destination in order to offer customers the most intense and comfortable trips.
All FAM trips are supported by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism of Oman and the Oman Tourism Office in Russia.
New publications about Oman in Russian travel publications
This month, new materials about Oman were released, highlighting the relevance of the destination for tourists and industry professionals.
The Tourbusiness magazine published a detailed review about the country, which covers the main tourist attractions and wonders that the Sultanate of Oman has to offer.
